About Me.

Hello and welcome! I am Helena, and I am passionate about all things related to health and wellbeing on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Here is a bit of my story and background.

 

I started this journey in 2013 when I attended my first Yoga retreat. This is where I was first introduced to yogic philosophy and it was also the first time I attended instructed Hatha Yoga classes. After a few weeks of daily practice at the retreat I noticed most of all how my body had gone through some big changes. I felt stronger and more connected to my physical body than ever before in my life, and my way of being became more mindful. I knew I had found something precious that I wanted to learn more about.

One year later I attended my first Vipassana meditation retreat, and this too was a life changing experience. I now had powerful tools to work with my mind and to start my own meditation practice. At this point I had experienced profound changes in both body and mind, and my curiosity about holistic health grew bigger the more knowledge I attained.

In 2016 I did my 200 hour Yoga teacher training at Wise Living Yoga Academy, and this is when I realized that Yoga was more than just an interest. I felt an enormous calling to spread the wisdom of this ancient knowledge to people who were looking to improve their quality of life. This was another major life changing event on this journey. All of a sudden I had answers to so many health related questions I'd had for years. I will always be thankful for my teacher Jeenal Mehta who shared her knowledge with such love, integrity and passion, and inspired me to keep exploring the path of Yoga as a lifesyle.

I later got certified as a Reiki healing practitioner level 1 and 2, which has been a great complement to my bank of knowledge and skills. It has helped me to become more connected with my own body and energy, as well as being able to easier connect with and help other people.

​

Throughout the years I have gathered inspiration and knowledge from many different areas of holistic healing and creative expression therapy. Movement and voice expression are two areas that are particularly dear to me, and I am working on incorporating more of this into my work. My intention is to open up space for people to explore what it means to connect to and get to know yourself. To give tools that can be used in everyday life, and which can have small to profound effects on our wellbeing.

 

I believe that in order to help build a better world, we have to start by helping our own self to heal and grow. My role is to help facilitate this healing, by creating a safe container where you can do your important work. I love seeing people bloom, improving their wellbeing and feeling happiness, inspiration and joy!
